Shumi Yabuta Photo Exhibition BLACK BOX [Osaka]
- unpainted face of Mr.Children -
Photographer Shumi Yabuta and Mr. Children met at a recording studio in NY in 1999.
Starting with shooting in 2004, he continued to shoot artist photos, album jackets, and LIVE.
They have built deep friendships in private.
I've been working with Mr. Children since the first shoot, 11 years.
Here are four real faces, Mr.Children, who have never seen, who have been photographing and capturing because he is Shumi Yabuta.

Ask them what is most important.
It's not a baseball glove, a camera or a guitar, I don't hesitate to choose a hard disk filled with photo data.
It’s like a black box for me. Here is the 11-year trajectory that Mr.Children has traced.
Continuing to photograph them became one of my life works.
This time, in a place without sound, please see the real faces of the four people as usual, not Mystyl as an artist.
I don't do anything special, I want them to feel their life-size charm.
It's just "mystyl" here.
