Ken Kagami Retrospective
Since the beginning of the 2000s, he has been active as a contemporary artist based in Tokyo, and continues to evolve today. He converts all genres such as social phenomena, occasional stories, various problems that occur in art history, culture, etc. into joke-like ideas, and continues to present works of art such as sculpture, painting, drawing, video, and performance.
In this exhibition, in addition to sculptures by found objects that inspired Ken Kagami in the early 2000s, sculptures with traditional motifs derived from the opposite idea, this exhibition is a retrospective exhibition that displays all of the previous series, including a series depicting text on canvas, which has been actively working on in recent years.
At the venue, in addition to talk events, exhibition commemorative goods will also be sold.

■ Contents of the exhibition
Ken Kagami converts all genres such as social phenomena, occasional stories, various problems that occur in art history, culture, etc. into joke-like ideas, and continues to present works of art such as sculpture, painting, drawing, video, and performance. Many sculptures use items found in American slip stores and recycle shops common on the streets of Tokyo. Slit stores and recycle shops that handle things that are no longer in use are symbols of the connection between the consumer society, but through Ken Kagami's work, it transforms into optimistic and positive ideas. Even now, as an adult, he continues the ironic mischief that everyone unconsciously experiences in childhood through his work.
In this exhibition, in addition to sculptures by found objects that inspired Ken Kagami in the early 2000s, sculptures with traditional motifs derived from the opposite idea, the canvas that has been actively working on in recent years We will exhibit all the previous series, including a series depicting texts on canvas.
