Mika Ninagawa Photo Exhibition "IN MY ROOM"

This time, Shibuya PARCO will be temporarily closed on August 7, 2016 due to the redevelopment plan of the Shibuya Udagawa-cho area, and the PARCO Museum will also end its role in Shibuya once.
To conclude the Parco Museum, which has changed with the city of Shibuya, reflects the atmosphere of the times, and has been engaged in various initiatives with many artists and creators, we will hold three exhibitions by artists named SHIBUYA PARCO MUSEUM FINAL EXHIBITION.

Photographer Mika Ninagawa is the beginning of the event.

At the Mika Ninagawa photo exhibition "IN MY ROOM", which will be held from June 18th (Sat), we will exhibit works that capture the colorful "otokos" wrapped in mode clothes from a private perspective. The world of the popular series "Mika Ninagawa's Private Mode" of the magazine "EYESCREAM" will be developed at the Parco Museum. In addition, prior to the general release, we will release the photo book "IN MY ROOM" in advance.

Photographer and film director
He received many awards including Ihee Kimura Photography Award. He also works on a lot of video works.

In 2010, Rizzoli N.Y. published a photo book “MIKA NINAGAWA” in various countries around the world.

Relationship between Mika Ninagawa and Parco

In 2001, Mika Ninagawa held a new photo exhibition "Mellow Poisonous Scenery" at PARCO Gallery shortly after announcing the award of the 26th Ihee Kimura Photography Award. Since then, he has continued to present solo exhibitions at Parco with "Liquid Dreams" in 2003, "Ninagawa Delusion Theater" in 2008, and "Helter Sculter" in 2012.
In 2007, she held an exhibition "Cherry Colorful Exhibit" at the Parco Museum to experience the world view of her first directed movie "Cherry", and in the second film "Helter Skelter", her various expressions blossomed on the stage of Parco, such as tie-up with Parco's advertising campaign.
