[Comments by Asami Kiyokawa]
Men (mens) who are always active in Asia and are responsible for the future of Japan / Asia. "Man thread" is a series modeled on the first man in collaboration with such cool guys. A cool man has experience and learning in the past, and love, loneliness and energy.…Such a thing appears as aura on the face, body, and back. The back of a man with a core looks large. Such aura is expressed by a combination of monochrome photographs and embroidery sewing innocent. It was my starting point when I wanted to express something like a man's "man's life". I try to express it with a simpler and more persistent image than a woman.
◎How to decide the theme
Since men can't "collect" like women, the feature of this series is that they are compared to prominent historical figures and mythical characters. Once the subject is decided, the character and atmosphere of the person will be imagined from Kiyokawa's unique perspective, and the work will be applied to the theme person and finished.
◎Future Development
It has just begun, so if you have a good boy, I would like to make a work at any time. The serialization will also be restarted in "voce".
◎The enthusiasm for this exhibition and a message to visitors
The first exhibition of male works only. A dynamic and cool "man thread"-like world that is different from the usual "beauties collection" of Asami Kiyokawa, threads and images (?) I'm going to express it in words. It would be nice if you could immerse yourself in the charm of unique men who are active in various fields.
