In 2012, we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the broadcast of the TV series "Ultra Space and Time Fortress Macros", the first film of the Macros series.
Also, in the chronological table of the world of Macros, 2012 marks the year of the first long-distance immigrant fleet "Megaroad 01".

【MACROSS:THE DESIGN】 In this exhibition, the history of the 30th anniversary of the "Macros Series" is divided into parts from the perspective of design, and character mechanics, culture, and songs are exhibited three-dimensionally, focusing on materials such as settings, original drawings, videos, and cells at that time.

A large number of exhibits that can only be found at the venue, such as valuable materials from the time, Balkily produced by director Shoji Kawamori in blocks, and collaboration illustrations with creators active on the front line.

It is full of gimmicks that can be enjoyed in addition to the exhibition, such as the reproduction of the album (almost) of the ending of "Super Space and Time Fortress Macros" and the shooting corner of the life-size area.

Of course, we will also sell limited products.

Contents of the exhibition

In the chronological table of the Macros world, 2012 is also the year of the enteros of the first long-distance immigrant fleet "Megaroad 01". As an introduction part of this exhibition, I would like you to look back on the Macros series along with the image of aboarding Megaroad 01.

■Part 1 People, Living and Culture
Character design and urban design in the Macros hall will be exhibited at that time, original drawings, etc. I will also touch on the living space unique to immigrant ships and the unique culture such as the Zentradi language.

■Part 2 Song
Each diva in the Macros series will be exhibited together with large images and original drawings. Flashback The original drawings of the 2012 Minmei Concert scene will be exhibited.

■Part 3 Mechanic Design
Introducing mechanical art such as Balkily and Destoroids by setting etc. The Valkily block model produced by Director Kawamori, which was created to confirm the deformation mechanism, will also be exhibited for the first time in Japan.

Creators who are active on the front line draw their passion for "Macros" and display their original drawings.
