"We were there" Tomoki Obata Original Painting Exhibition 

This time, at the Parco Museum, we will hold an original painting exhibition of manga artist Yuki Obata's original "We were there".

"We were there" started serialization in the May 2002 issue of Shogakukan's "Monthly Betsukomi" and reached its final edition in the March 2012 issue.
Currently, it has been released up to 16 volumes by Shogakukan Flower Comics, and the cumulative circulation is a super best-selling comic that surpasses the amazing 12 million copies of Girl Comics.

In 2005, he was awarded the 50th (2004) Shogakukan Manga Grand Prize (Division for Girls), and his style was highly evaluated.

In the original picture exhibition "We were there", we express the world view of the eternal pure love story that spans 10 years in serialization.

From the 10-year series of works, you can only see it at the venue.
We will exhibit a number of valuable original drawings.

■Valuable materials of Mr. Obata
From valuable materials such as sketches and names of the original drawings, as well as work tools of Dr. Obata
Public to the private property.

■"We were there" anime screening
From all 26 episodes of TV anime aired in 2006, selected works that were particularly popular were screened.

Started serialization in the May 2002 issue of Betsucomi, Shogakukan Monthly.
Up to 16 volumes, (Shogakukan Betsukomi Flower Comics) has exceeded 12 million copies in total.

Nanami Takahashi, who had just risen to the first grade of high school, was excited by a new environment. He managed to make friends and seemed to have started a good high school life, but when he was in junior high school, he met Motoharu Yano, a popular boy among girls who were liked by two-thirds of the class. At first, he thought he was a bad guy, but Nanami gradually became attracted to Yano. However, Yano was dragging through the dark past that she had been dating for a long time.
