DESIGN NONTAN Exhibition commemorating the 40th anniversary of the birth of Nontan

As the second project of the Parco Museum, which was reopened on September 1, 2016 and moved to Ikebukuro PARCO.
"DESIGN NONTAN Exhibition" will be held. This exhibition, which was planned to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Nontan's birth, includes original drawings of "Nontan's Tanjobi" (published by Kaiseisha), picture books, rough sketches that show the process of the birth of 3D animation, and idea notes. Will be exhibited. In addition, new non-tans, such as non-tans drawn with thick gentle lines and design drawings of friends, which was unveiled for the first time in this exhibition, will be introduced at once. At the goods corner, we will sell many original products that can only be purchased here, such as exhibition-limited apparel, miscellaneous goods, and original reproductions.

"Nontan Series"

The "Nontan Series" (published by Kaiseisha) published its first picture book in 1976, and in 2016, the 40th anniversary, the cumulative total exceeded 31 million copies of the series. Nontan, who loves mischievous, naughty, and energetic, was a type of hero that seemed to be in the picture book world at the time. Sachiko Kiyono's passion for drawing a child itself, selfish and tone, was sometimes criticized at first, but without being bound by artistic beauty and morality, he wanted to draw a fun picture book anyway. It was created. Please take this opportunity to fully enjoy the charm of Nontan, which celebrated its 40th anniversary.
