Contents of the exhibition

As a project to commemorate the 1st anniversary of the Parco Museum, we will hold a photo exhibition by Mika Ninagawa, a young female photographer who attracts what you see from its unique color. This time, the theme she chose was "Goldfish". "Goldfish" is colorful, artificial, cute but somewhat poisonous. "Goldfish" that makes you feel nostalgic and fun, but is somewhere poisonous. For this exhibition, we will show the appearance of such "goldfish" that she has been collecting not only in Japan but also in Hong Kong, China, etc. This time, the first video work will be released at the exhibition. And the latest photo book "Liquid" published by Eddie Zion Treville Dreams will be sold in advance at the venue.
Don't miss the Big Show, the biggest highlight this fall!

Goldfish is not a wild fish.

A creature that has been malformed by repeatedly man-made crossing and selection of crucian mutants according to human preferences.

Shortened deformation, adhesion degenerated skeleton.
Too long or too short for fish.
The back fin which lacks degradation.

It seems that the longer the fish in a different shape far from its original shape, the shorter the life span.

How deep is the human desire?

At first, I was attracted to the cuteness of its appearance and the lusterness of its color.
When you look at the lovely figure floating in the water pleasantly, you feel somewhat soft.

A symbol of happiness.

Creatures that have been improved for human appreciation.
It looks like he swims happily.

Why are you so attracted to goldfish?

Apparently, the beauty of the goldfish doesn’t seem to captivate me.
Rather, I am attracted to its unnatural appearance as a creature that has been twisted.

I was unaware of my own obsession.

Maybe even the twisted feeling that goldfish may be more poor than they are buying.
No matter what I think, it has nothing to do with goldfish.

They must be able to eat rice every day, without danger, and be happy.

It may be a person's arrogance to think about it.
