Contents of the exhibition

ANDY will be held with the full cooperation of the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, United States.
WARHOL, HIS WORKS, IDEA&PROCESS」。
131 works of Warhol were released at once. -Documents of the idea source of the work and photographs of the unexpectedly unknown production process are displayed. In addition to widely known works from the 1960s and 1980s, he approaches a new aspect of Andy Warhol through silent films and photographic works that have not been introduced so far.

Remarks!

| ・ |
Exhibits 131 works by Andy Warhol, including paintings, photographs, videos, and prints for the first time in Japan.

|
| ・ |
In addition to Warhol's masterpieces, he introduces many works including photographs that had not been introduced in Japan so far, self-portraits and wallpapers with cow motifs. The "Screen Test" (video), which was discovered in recent years, was first performed at the Parco Museum in the world.

|
| ・ |
Warhol's daily photographic works, late painting (all one point) in which the elements of hand-drawn different from the 60s and 70s have become stronger, and Nico and Eadie appearing in his movies are exhibited separately from the movies.

|
| ・ |
A large number of materials that became the idea of his representative works are exhibited. Set up a corner where you can understand how mysterious and sensational Warhol works were born, or how he made them.

|
| ・ |
The interview video of Warhol himself was also specially edited and screened at the venue. We plan to set up a corner where people can understand Warhol himself.

|
| ・ |
The silk-screen works introduced at this exhibition are from the 60s and 70s, and the paintings (canvas) are from the 80s. Especially in the 1980s, Warhol was inspired by younger artists such as Basquiat and Keith Haring, and drew pop themes that were also his starting point with brushes and silkscreens, and this series will be unveiled for the first time in Japan. (including collaboration with Basquiat)

|
| ・ |
The Warhol item "POP" recently released and almost sold out.
