Sage Matsumoto depicts the motif as a charming character.
His work as an artist has attracted a wide range of attention, from art to advertising and design.
Born in Osaka in 1986, after graduating from Osaka University of Arts, he started his career as a designer. After working in Tokyo and New York, I am currently working in Nagano.
Matsumoto's representative works include the ANDY series of mouse established in the New York era, and the DOG & DUCK series, which began to be drawn from Nagano, and this exhibition will feature new works centered on those two series.
At first glance, the rats moving around in the city and the dogs and ducks living idyllic life in the wilderness are in contrast, but both are consistently trying to portray "happiness in everyday life".
In the corridor-shaped exhibition space, there is also a figure of ANDY running around a little bit.
In addition to the video work that was the first initiative, the entire venue is an installation, including paintings and three-dimensional works.
We have created an exhibition that brings together the works of Seiji Matsumoto, who are widely active across the boundaries of art and illustration. The title of the exhibition is "Fun!" 。 A number of works that express the fun everyday life of animals.

Artist profile
Sage Matsumoto
Born in Osaka in 1986.
After graduating from Osaka University of Arts, he started his career as a designer, worked in Tokyo and New York, and now has an atelier at the foot of Nagano Prefecture. It mainly draws works with animal motifs.
He expresses his world view in various fields across the boundaries of art, illustrations, and graphic design. He has participated in solo exhibitions and art events in cities such as Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles, and Seoul.
He has been involved in various domestic and international projects such as New Balance, NIKE, UNIQLO, and The New York Times.
