Kyoto, which has been the capital of Japan for a long time, has nurtured a culture of "things", "humans", and "koto", which has been refined over a long time, and has created various masterpieces and unique values unique to Japan. This exhibition is an attempt to create a new tradition that will be passed on to the next generation, centered on TOKYO, the center of cutting-edge sensibilities, and KYOTO, which is the best of traditional manufacturing.
Muneshin Kimura, a tea master who is familiar with antiques and subcultures and works on the supervision of Kaiseki cuisine and art in magazines and television, is invited to invite you to a world of innovation that combines the skills and traditions of Kyoto art, as well as modern-day cutting-edge sensitivity.
What kind of innovation will happen when "Takumi's skills and tradition heart" and "modern state-of-the-art sensitivity" are fused? Please enjoy a special exhibition where you can experience the world of "evolving tradition".

The current head is the 10th generation. We are now conveying the production technology of Kyouchiwa, which has become only "Ainami", and continue to create new "uchiwa culture".

Sanada stringer Gangnam
In the early Sengoku period, Sanada string Gangnam was a military commander of the Ashikaga Shogun family, a Genji warlord of Oomi (now Shiga Prefecture), and a senior citizen of the Sasaki Rokkaku family.
The origin of the name is currently divided into four parts of Shiga Prefecture to Kohoku, Kosai, Hunan, Koto, but in the past it was used as Kohoku, Kosai, Gangnam, Koto, of which Iga in Gangnam was used as a territory. It is said that it was named after that.
It is said that warlords during the Warring States period produced many weapons and munitions used in the war in the territory, of which they made strings, especially Sanada strings used for weapons, as regional promotion measures such as during the off-farm season. I am.
In the middle of the Warring States period, the battle between Nobunaga Oda and Sasaki family, who planned Kamiraku, and the battle of the Ane River, brought down the Sasaki family's palace and princess, and then lived in Kyoto to help the clan. It is said that he became the current Sanada string craftsman using the skills cultivated by each in the old territory together with the elders.
Since then, for nearly 500 years, I have been involved in the production of Sanada strings for fifteen generations.

What is the tradition of Kyoto? It has been taught that it is a series of innovations.
Glittering to the vivid sparks generated by the babbling of different "people", "things" and "things".
Traditions and formalities are not polished just by staying.
“PARCO” and “KYOTO” have continued to transmit cutting-edge sensibilities.
Please take a look at the two new encounters, and give us an objection and objection.
The spark will surely be the next step, a new culture.
