In November 2023, the movie "Kitaro's Birth Gegegege", which was released as a work commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of manga artist Shigeru Mizuki, was an oversized hit with a box office revenue of 2.78 billion yen and an audience mobilization of 1.947 million yen. He received high praise, including winning the Excellent Animation Works Award at the 47th Japan Academy Award.

<Summary of Works>

The national anime "Gegege no Kitaro", which has been loved for 55 years and has become a culture. Kitaro and his friends, from children to adults, were afraid of monsters and strange phenomena, but wanted to be friends at least once. This work, which will commemorate the 100th anniversary of Shigeru Mizuki's birth in 2023, depicts the first story of Kitaro's fathers-the encounter between the former highlight father and Mizuki, and the fate of the two fathers.

 The director said, "Theatrical version of Gegege no Kitaro Japan Explosion! The script is written by Hiroyuki Yoshino, who is known for the TV anime "Macross F", etc., and Toko Yatabe, who served as vice director for "Shin Evangelion Theatrical Version". In addition to Miyuki Sawashiro who played Kitaro in the TV anime "Gegege no Kitaro" (6th term), Masako Nozawa who played the eyeball father, Toshio Furukawa as a mysterious boy character similar to that familiar character, The former centerpiece father was played "Kizuki no Yaehiko's blade" and played Kibu Tsuji's tremors throughout Japan.
