PIECE OF PEACE World Heritage's exhibition PART-4
Copy the URL
The first event will be held at Gunma's World Heritage National Treasure "Tomioka Silk Mill"!
The World Heritage exhibition, created by the PIECE OF PEACE "Lego® Block", is based on the theme of UNESCO World Heritage's activities, "It was taken over to the future." World Heritage too! A peace project that began with the hope that it will be an event that both children and adults can enjoy and feel!
The exhibition consists of World Heritage made of Lego® blocks, a toy loved around the world, and a message for the future created by contemporary creators.
In November 2012, the third exhibition commemorating the 40th anniversary of the UNESCO World Heritage Convention was launched.
Over the past 16 years, approximately 3 million people have been mobilized in Japan and across Asia, and in particular at the third exhibition, 840,000 people have been mobilized at five venues in Asia, achieving growth as a content that attracts attention overseas.
And in February 2020, the 4th exhibition finally started!
It has been decided that the exhibition will be held for the first time at Tomioka Silk Mill, a national treasure registered in World Heritage in 2014.
This is the first exhibition to be held at the Nishioki Cocoonsho Multipurpose Hall, which has been undergoing preservation, repair and seismic reinforcement work over five years, and grand opening.
I hope that it will be a movement in which the circle of peace spreads to more people in more countries.
I'd better have a lot of pieces.
Pieces of Peace ― the more, the better!
