[Masamune Shiro's World Exhibition-"Checking Machine Corps" and the Trajectory of Creation-] The event will be held at Setagaya Literature Museum.
Masamune Shiro captures information on advanced technologies that had not yet penetrated the world in the 1980s and 1990s, with a unique sense, and expresses the world's first future to become a electrified brain in manga. Its innovation continues to have a significant impact on subsequent creators such as manga, science fiction literature, and film.
In this exhibition, focusing on Masamune Shiro's masterpieces, "Sensic Super Battle Shell Orion", from the early works "Black Magic" to "Apple Seed", "Dominion", "Senju Super Battle Shell Orion", and up to the present The contents of the exhibition that can trace the trajectory up to now are planned, and you can see the whole picture of Masamune Shiro's creation world up close.
In addition, the key visual released this time is designed to bring together Masamune Shiro's representative works, including the "Citure Machine Corps".
The exhibition will include a large number of original goods, brand collaboration goods, and collaboration with artists.

Introduction of Representative Works
Offensive fighter/Kodansha
SF work began serializing in the magazine "Young Magazine Pirate Edition" published by Kodansha in 1989. It is a story depicting the battle of the public security section 9 (offensive mechanism corps), a offensive organization under the direct control of the prime minister, created to prevent crimes that occur in the advanced information society. Three books have been published, including "1", which depicts the fusion of the puppeteer and the main character, Motoko Kusanagi. In addition, numerous animations have been produced and have had a lot of influence on creators around the world, and in 2017 it became a live-action movie in Hollywood.
Black Magic/Seishinsha
The first appearance is a doujinshi published by the manga research group "Atrus" in February 1983. After that, a collection of early works by Masamune Shiro, published as a commercial book by Seishinsha in 1985. The stage of the work is the Venus civilization world, where the super giant computer "Nemesis" is responsible for politics in order to realize utopia. Several stories are depicted in a read-out format based on the conflict between Nemesis's youngest daughter Tuffon and the chief of the administration, Zeus. "BOOBY TRAP" included in the book is also an OVA, where the author himself co-directed with animator Hiroyuki Kitakubo.
Apple Seed/Singshinsha
A work that was completely drawn from 1985 without going through serialization in magazines, and made the name of Masamune Shiro a major. After the Fifth World War, Dunan of SWAT and Brial Leos of the whole body cyborg, who lived in a ruined city, were brought to Olympus, a three-dimensional city, which can be said to be the ideal home, and were involved in various conspiracies that were embarked in the city. The book has been published up to Volume 4, and animations have been produced in the form of OVA, theater anime, TV anime, etc.
Senju Super Battle shell Orion / Seishinsha
A fantasy work that was serialized in 1991 with a significant addition to what was serialized in the magazine "Commic Gaia" published by Seishinsha. It is a story in which the great Buddhist priest Fuzen provincial summons Susanoo and tries to protect the Great Galactic Empire from Kuzuryu. The word coined with a mixture of science and ease that appears everywhere is also an attraction of this work. In 2010, short animations were produced in 3D.
Dominion/Singshinsha
A science fiction lively play that comically depicts the battle between the police tank squadron to which Reona, who controls his small tank Bonapartto, belongs, and the evil party's battle of evil spirits. The book was published in 1986 mainly in the magazine "Monthly Komi Komi" published by Shiroizumi, but since then the recordings have been added, and it has become the current book published by Seishinsha. Three animations have been produced, including those broadcasted on TV.
