MEGURU YAMAGUCHI EXHIBITION 『YOUR OLD FRIEND』

In this exhibition "YOUR OLD FIREND", we will exhibit seven new works using brush strokes that are representative of history Yamaguchi. In particular, the new work with a large size of 2.7m x 4m will be the largest exhibition ever in Japan as a work using brass stroke, and will be a highlight of this exhibition. In addition, there are new works that break the stereotype that has evolved from the representative work OUT OF BOUNDS.
In addition, the tools and equipment actually used for work in the production studio in New York will be brought to the venue to reproduce the studio, and the viewer will create a space as if they were visiting Brooklyn's studio in Yamaguchi.
In addition to exhibiting early works, including works created during the preparatory school period for the university entrance examination in early 2000, during the exhibition period, the person himself returned to Japan and tried to produce artwork directly on the wall of the venue. It will be an exhibition where you can see the current shape from the beginning of Yamaguchi's history of painting, as visitors will be able to see the work scenery of Yamaguchi history up close. Separately, as a special collaboration, a limited number of edition print works painted by Hiroshi Yamaguchi on photographic works by Jiro Onami, a photographer living in New York, is also planned to sell exhibition commemorative products.
MEGURU YAMAGUCHI × RAMIDUS
Hiroshi Yamaguchi himself actually uses in NY, the popular series "TYPE" of Tokyo's leading bag brand "RAMIDUS", which he paints using a brush stroke typical of Yamaguchi history, and completes a collaboration art piece back with only one point in the world.
"RAMIDUS" has been announcing collaborations with Tokyo's world-class brands such as fragment design, UNDERCOVER, and WOLF'S HEAD, and this collaboration, which can be said to be an art work with Yamaguchi history, is particularly large-sized brass strokes, symbolizing TOTE BAG with RUCKSACK, DAY PACK, SHOULDER BAG, and world-limited lottery.

History of Yamaguchi | Meguru Yamaguchi
Yamaguchi was born in 1984 and is from Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, moved to the United States in 2007, and is now a contemporary artist based in Brooklyn, New York.
Focusing on the basic element "handwriting / brush stroke" in painting expression consistently from the early work, in the series of masterpieces called OUT OF BOUNDS, stop painting on canvas, which is a common practice in painting production, and under the concept of "fixed concepts, rules, borders, borders, and expansion of paintings", the handwriting itself transcends the framework of canvas, as if it were to create a three-dimensional space.
Born in Shibuya-ku, he grew up experiencing the transition of street culture in Uraharajuku, Tokyo from the 1990s to the early 2000s, and after moving to New York, he occupies an important position in American street culture, such as ALIFE, BILLIONAIRE BOYS CLUB, FTC, NIKE, and other brands representing street brands such as ISSEI and MIK.
