This work, the artist's status
One day, I've always thought I had to face Tokyo exactly and take pictures.
I was born in Tokyo, grew up in Tokyo, and lived only in this city.
But I felt that I wasn't ready to face anything, and I've always been vain.
I feel like I can't reach out because it's too important.
Two years ago, I felt that the timing had come.
When I finished filming the movie "Diner Dinner" and "Human Disqualified Dazai Osamu and Three Women" with many people.
Suddenly, I wanted to fight just by sealing my specialty skills and releasing the shutter.
When I started shooting, Tokyo for me was a world with a radius of 2.3 meters.
The days when fiction and reality are always mixed in it.
It is my daily life, Tokyo, that the boundaries are ambiguous.
Most of this book is shot in Sharan.
I wanted to know what would remain and what I could do when I couldn't use all my special skills.
I wanted to see the scenery that I could see when I lost what controls the surface.
I'm sure there's an answer.
I'm looking back on one side of Tokyo today.
After all, the times are reflected in the photographs.
The scene of burning on film changes every day.
I'm still taking pictures of Tokyo.
The picture is really interesting.

At the Meets by NADiff next to the venue, a part of the "noir" series announced in 2010 will be exhibited in conjunction with this exhibition.
・Date: July 5 (Sun)
・Venue: Shibuya Parco 4F Meets by NADiff
・Admission free
・Planning: Yoshio Noboru Koyama Gallery
When I think of Mika Ninagawa's photos, I first come to mind its vivid colors.
The objects of flowers, people, goldfish, etc. in the picture are given to these emotions or colors that evoke the unrealistic world.
This is the series "noir" exhibited by a photo book published in 2010 as if overturning such an image of his own work.
Ninagawa's expression colors make the light fully ally allies, grab and stop the richness and beauty of life from it, but in this series, if light hits it, there will always be a shadow there, It seemed to be trying to expose the shadow behind it.
However, in fact, the existence of this shadow can be seen in Ninagawa's vast collection of works.
The two sides of the light and shadow, which clearly shows the attitude toward taking pictures of Ninagawa.
