Rhizomatiks inspired by Perfume 2020

This exhibition will introduce a large number of video installations, including the stage production technology of "Perfume" that Lizomatics has worked on, and new works created using Perfume data obtained so far. The venue is divided into four sections, where you can see custom-made software and hardware created using state-of-the-art media technologies such as augmented reality, photogrammetry, machine learning, and wearable computing, as well as some of the new and the systems you are actually using in stage production. Please enjoy the behind-the-scenes stage production and artwork that we have created with Perfume, which celebrated its 15th anniversary.

■Contents of the exhibition
＜Flash - Virtual Reality＞
This is a new work created using three photogrammetry data acquired to produce the video of the song "Flash". We tried to expand live production by creating new productions that can only be realized in the world of Virtual Reality, which excludes physical constraints. You can experience it by wearing a head-mounted display.

＜Behind The Scene＞
Lysomatics has developed a number of production technologies specializing in Perfume's stage performance. We will publish custom-made devices and software created to realize expressions that go back and forth between physical and digital, video and real space.

＜Tiny Baby - Augmented Reality＞
This installation uses real-time face recognition technology used in the production of the song "Tyny Baby". You can actually experience the Perfume visual effect.

＜Flash - Immersive Projection＞
This is a new work created using three photogrammetry data acquired to produce the video of the song "Flash". The same data as "Flash - Virtual Reality" is converted so that it can be viewed in an immersive Virtual Reality environment called "Cave".

What is Rhizomatiks?

Lysomatics explores new possibilities for technology and expression, and presents things and things that have never been seen before, focusing on projects with strong research and development elements such as media art and data art.
We are responsible for all processes in the project, from the development of hardware and software to operations, and practice collaborative work with various creators while studying the relationship between people and technology.
