statement
We enjoy being deceived visually deceived, and we like to seek special visual stimulation.
By taking the uncertainty of human senses and the unconscious preconceptions and stereotypes, the ancestors created expressions such as "deception picture" and "surrealism".
While following such classical expressions, sometimes humorously, and sometimes asking "what is seeing", the evolving modern "mischief" can move the mind or present a new perspective of things.

Yukari Nishi

The expression of surrealism, which characterizes the Western painting, is the idealized United States of America in the mid-20th century.
It makes you feel nostalgia. The idyllic landscape of the world depicts consists of stuffed animals that have no face-to-face figures, stuffed animals, and animals that do not make them feel alive. The somewhat unrealistic dreamlike scene stirs curiosity and discomfort, but at the same time, dramatic productions of light and shadows, and the misconceptions that suddenly brings into a safe and comfortable home space reminds us of the theme of Neo Noir with absurdity, nihilism, and Paranoia. West's work is a collection of images drawn from the media around her, and by entering the four-dimensional world that exists between reality and lies, imposing us to reconsider our perception of what is reality and what is not real. After graduating from Kyoto University of the Arts, he has presented paintings and mixed media works at galleries and art fairs in Japan and overseas.
