statement
We enjoy being visually deceived, and we prefer to seek special visual stimulation.
By taking advantage of the uncertainty of human senses and unconscious preconceptions and stereotypes, the predecessors created expressions such as "deceiving paintings" and "surrealism."
While following such classic expressions, sometimes humorously and sometimes asking "what is seeing", it is a challenge to show whether the evolving modern "franking mischief" can move the heart or a new way of view of things.

Yukari Nishi
Born in 1978, lives in Nishinomiya City.
The expression of surrealism, which characterizes Western painting, is idealized as the United States in the mid-20th century.
It makes you feel nostalgic. The idyllic landscape of the world she paints consists of figures without faces, stuffed animals without emotions, and animals that do not feel alive. The somewhat unrealistic dream-like scene stirs curiosity and discomfort, and at the same time, the dramatic production of light and shadow, and the discord suddenly brought into a safe and comfortable home space reminds me of the Neo Noir themes that I went with absurdity, nihyrism, and paranoir. The West's work is a collection of images drawn from the media around her, and by entering into the four-dimensional world that exists between reality and lies, we urge us to reconsider what is reality and what is not reality. After graduating from Kyoto University of the Arts, he has presented paintings and mixed media works at galleries and art fairs in Japan and abroad. Recent projects include a solo exhibition "Indication #7". Other group exhibitions and art fairs include IMAGRATION (All Modern, Taipei), Intersection of Monsoons (Tang Contemporary Art, Hong Kong), Art Fair Tokyo, and Taipei Dangdai.
