Korea's work on the theme of questions about originality in the digital age.
Japan's first exhibition "Planalia" by artist "AOKIZY" will be held at PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO.
The pranalia in the title is derived from an organism that breeds with the divisional method. This exhibition "Planalia" shows how the image continues to expand from the surface of paintings, images, and sculptures to space based on the original division method. Like pranalia, it is a metaphor-like reproduction of the present era where it is not possible to distinguish which is the parent and which is the child, which is the original and which is the reproduction. Through this exhibition, you will be able to experience a heterogeneous contemporary art in which simple famous confectionery and ambiguous mystery coexist with new chaos created based on strict systems.
At the venue, a total of 17 works, including 14 new works and 3 three-dimensional works created in conjunction with this exhibition, will be exhibited and sold, and limited sales of two types of sofvigigure (100 each) will be sold for the first time.

AOKIZY profile
AOKIZY has been addressing the issue of originality from the perspective of the post-digital age.
By using digital images as original, not only traditional media such as paintings and sculptures, but also by outputting and sharing the boundaries between reality and virtual, art and non-art, light (digital original) images and heavy (art works) images intersect. He emphasizes the contradiction of the process in which images interact inside and outside, embodied in various forms and textures, and the so-called lightness and seriousness created by the output outer skin coexist (infinitely replicatable digital images and works that emphasize uniqueness are contrasted), and presents works that consider the meaning of originality from a new perspective.
The artist graduated from the Department of Western Painting at Chuo University, and his solo exhibitions include "CAMOUFLAGE" (TUESDAY TO FRIDAY, Valencia, 2024), "TROPHY" (Kiche, Seoul, 2023), "2022 Artsonje Project #2: Create Outlines" (Artsonje Center, Seoul, 202) and 02020202.
