The exhibition "Hello Bauhaus" by British artist James Jarvis will be held. The curation of this exhibition will be handled by the contemporary art gallery NANZUKA. This exhibition will be the first solo exhibition in 22 years since "World of Pain" held in 2000, and will exhibit paintings and installation works. At the venue, pre-sale of edition sculptures and sale of exhibition commemorative products are also planned.

Contents of the exhibition
The innovativeness of the expression method of combining manga-style illustrations with original character figures that Jersbis has pioneered so far is worth noting in view of today's state of contemporary art that continues to change and expand.
From philosophical thinking, a wide variety of languages, history, and social issues, popular culture, art, architecture, etc.
From skateboarding, the characters depicted in the background of such interest, despite being extremely simplified, truly eloquently, comically, and ironically reflect our figure.
The title of this exhibition includes Jervis's attempt to deal with Japanese Kawaii culture as a parody to the German educational institution "Bauhaus", which established equal rationality and functionalism in all genres from design to fine art. In this exhibition, Jarbis will present painting and installation of characters that embody the homage to the Kawaii style, which is no longer the world's official language.
This exhibition will be the first solo exhibition at PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO in 22 years since the World of Pain held in 2000.

James Jarvis ( James Jarvis)
James Jersbis was born in 1970 and works as an illustrator and artist based in U.K. London, and his style is widely known throughout Japan through collaborations with Amos, NIKE, Uniqlo, and IKEA.
Jarvis's comment
"For me, drawing is not based on an aesthetic structure, such as drawing and recording images, but a means of understanding the world. I am interested in the process of drawing something as a way to decipher and understand it."
