We will hold the world's first solo exhibition of VR works by Julian Opie, a leading contemporary artist representing U.K.
The new challenge by artists who have vividly expressed the world's appearance, such as people and cityscapes, in a minimum expression language, will be an innovative exhibition where VR goggles can experience multiple different exhibition spaces.

To commemorate this exhibition, Julian Opie and the Japanese fashion brand "YOKE" will sell specially collaborated T-shirts at the venue. "YOKE" has many fans for its sophisticated yet playful design, incorporating materials and patterns that are particular about standard items, adding contemporary elements and essence inspired by art, and now it is one of the most attracting brands in Tokyo. This time, we will sell a limited number of 8 types of T-shirts using designs related to Julian Opie's VR exhibition on "YOKE".
Unisex, S.M.L 3 sizes available, 11,000 yen each (tax included), sales will end as soon as it runs out.

Artist profile
Julian Opie ／ Julian opy
Born in London in 1958. An artist representing contemporary art in England.
Traditional motifs in art, such as landscapes and people, are simplified by simple drawing and color expression reminiscent of pictograms and anime expressions, and the style of expressing with minimal elements continues to attract great support not only in the art world but also in the broader culture scene. He has a deep knowledge of Japanese art, and is also a collector of ukiyo-e such as Hiroshige and Utamaro, and is well known for his influence on his style. His works are housed in major museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art, the British Museum, the Tate Gallery, and the Stederrick Museum, and in Japan, the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, the National Museum of Art, Osaka, and Takamatsu. Recent exhibitions include the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery solo exhibition (2019), the Rembrook Museum (Germany, 2019), the Barold Museum of Art (Portugal, 2020), Newlands House Gallery (U.K., 2021), and the Venice Biennale (2022). He has also worked on many projects that transcend the boundaries of art, such as Blur's album jacket, British Royal Ballet, and U2 stage design.
