We will hold a project "TOWNWORKS MUSICFAIR 2021" with the theme of "Music and Local Communities / MAKE SOME NOISE".

"Town Works" was held in January last year as an anonymous exhibition with unknown organizers.
In the New Year of 2021, we will return to GALLERY X again under the title "MUSICFAIR".

This time, music fair!
12 cassette tapes by local musicians, both DJs and bands, will be released at the same time.
Using cassette tapes as a common language, POP UP SHOP for apparel, records, art pieces, etc. will be exhibited at GALLERY X for three days during the period.

Statement

In January 2020, we produced a space entitled Townworks at PARCO GALLERY X. In the New Year of 2021, the “MUSICFAIR” will return to the new year of 2021.

2020, when various things happened, will be over, and it will surely be a year when something will change (must change). The place where we are now is not virtual communication, but more closely and we value superrealistic dialogue. And there are still many small local communities in Japan that have accumulated their days in this way, and I believe that connecting will further expand the roots.

The theme this time is "Music and Local Communities / MAKE SOME NOISE", the happenings that happen when encountering, unexpected little excitement, and the ephemeral. It's not just beautiful, and it may be just noise for the world, but I believe that culture and play are born from that noise part and will be very important for the future.

I sincerely hope that it will be a bright year for musicians, DJs, all the artists involved in music, and small local communities.
