Kichijomaru Shimamura Photo Exhibition "What is good?"

Parco Corporation will hold the Shimamura Kichijomaru Photo Exhibition "What is good?" at GALLERY X BY PARCO (Shibuya PARCO B1F) from September 6 (Fri) to September 23 (Mon), 2024.
This project is a commemorative exhibition for the release of a book published on September 25 from PARCO Publishing, Kichijo Shimamura, a book "What is good?"
In addition to staying in the field as an artist and photographer, he crosses the field and collaborates with various artists to plan and curate as a director of the same galley in Tokyo and koen in Kyoto, and produces Ramen Kichijomaru and the fragrance brand "kibn". Kichijomaru Shimamura continues to engage in dialogue with people, things, and the world through photography.
Shimamura's first photo book, "What is good?", contains about 200 pieces selected for his career in the past 10 years, when he traveled around the world, including Tokyo, Paris, Berlin, Moscow, Laos, New York, Portland, and more.
At the exhibition, we plan to pre-sale of books, display the recorded works, and sell original goods.

Kichijomaru Shimamura | Kisshomaru Shimamura
Born in Tokyo. As an artist and photographer, he has crossed fields and is active both in Japan and overseas. In collaboration with various artists, he plans and curates as director of the same gallery (Tokyo) and koen (Kyoto), and produces Ramen Kichijomaru and the fragrance brand "kibn". Major solo exhibitions include "Unusual Usual" (Portland, 2014), "Inside Out" (Warsaw, 2016), and "photosynthesis" (Tokyo, 2020).
