Shimamura Kichijomaru Photo Exhibition "What is good?"

Parco Corporation will hold the Shimamura Kichijomaru photo exhibition "What is good?" at GALLERY X BY PARCO (Shibuya PARCO B1F) from September 6th (Fri) to September 23 (Mon), 2024.
This project is a commemorative exhibition prior to the release of the book "What is good?", "Shimamura Kissho Marusha" published on September 25 by PARCO Publishing on September 25.
In addition to planning and curates as a director of the same galley in Tokyo and koen in Kyoto by transcending fields and collaborating with various artists without staying in the field of artists and photographers, he also produces "Ramen Kichijomaru" and the fragrance brand "kibn". Kichijomaru Shimamura continues to engage in dialogue with people, things, and the world through photography.
The first photo book, "What is good?", contains about 200 items selected from Shimamura's career in the past 10 years, including Tokyo, Paris, Berlin, Moscow, Laos, New York and Portland.
At the exhibition, we plan to pre-released books, display recorded works, and sell original goods.

Shimamura Kichijomaru | Kisshomaru Shimamura
Born in Tokyo. As an artist and photographer, he is active both in Japan and abroad. In collaboration with various artists, he plans and curates as directors of the same gallery (Tokyo) and koen (Kyoto), and also produces "Ramen Kichijomaru" and the fragrance brand "kibn". His major solo exhibitions include "Unusual Usual" (Portland, 2014), "Inside Out" (Warsaw, 2016), and "photosynthesis" (Tokyo, 2020).
