GODZILLA THE ART by PARCO vol.3

Since the release of Godzilla, the first work in 1954, Godzilla has produced and released a total of 38 Godzilla series, including 30 works in Japan, 3 animation works, and 5 works in Hollywood. This time, the third "GODZILLA THE ART by PARCO vol.3" of the art project <GODZILLA THE ART> for the 70th anniversary of Godzilla's birth, which started in 2023.
The participating artists are Kosuke Kawamura, a collage artist active both in Japan and overseas, and Kensuke Koike, a collage artist active mainly overseas. The Godzilla suit standing statue and diorama used in Godzilla movies will also be specially released. A special Godzilla figure commemorating the GODZILLA THE ART will also be on sale.

Art project <GODZILLA THE ART> in which contemporary artists express Godzillas interpret themselves beyond the boundaries of movies and express themselves.
<GODZILLA THE ART> started as a project to celebrate the 70th anniversary of birth in 2024.
In 1954, Godzilla, the world-class icon, has shown us various expressions in the last 70 years, but they are not the same and are constantly changing. ＜GODZILLA THE ART＞ This is a project in which Japanese and foreign artists living in modern times face Godzilla in their own way beyond the boundaries of movies, and express Godzillas that they interpret. Through the project, we plan to develop various projects such as holding exhibitions and product sales.
A special interview video by Mr. Takeshi Yoro, a general producer, has been released. What is Godzilla to Mr. Takeshi Yoro who has spent his time with Godzilla? What is art? I'll ask you.

Participating artist
Kosuke Kawamura / Kosuke Kawamura
Artist/graphic designer. Born in Hiroshima in 1979. As a collage artist, he has participated in numerous collaborations with artists, solo exhibitions in Japan and overseas, and group exhibitions. Representative works include Katsuhiro Otomo's first large-scale original painting exhibition "Katsuhiro Otomo GENGA Exhibition" (2012) Main visual production and collage work "AKIRA ART WALL PROJECT" using AKIRA (2019), solo exhibition "TRY SOMETHING BETTER" (2021).
He is still active in graphic work for apparel brands, jackets, book bindings, advertising design, and art direction.
He became the creative director of UT in 2021.

Kensuke Koike / Kensuke Koike
Visual artist. Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1980.
After working at the National Venice Academy of Fine Arts in Italy, he completed a major in visual art at Venice Architecture.
He has presented his works in various ways of expression, including photo collage, installation, sculpture, and video art. Since 2005, he has held numerous group and solo exhibitions in Italy, mainly in Germany, the United States, Canada, and U.K. His works are housed at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

The appearance of landing in Tokyo and invading is realistically three-dimensional. Really shaped features such as rock-like body surface and sharp and rough dorsal fin. It reproduces the white glowing tail and dorsal fin immediately after emitting radiant heat rays. Please enjoy it at hand.

The Godzilla Hinagata was created to consider the modeling of Godzilla that appears in the first work of Godzilla series, Godzilla (1954). At the stage of modeling study, the body was designed to be covered with scales, and it was different from the currently widely known figure of Godzilla. Godzilla dolls can be said to be the origin of Godzilla.
