The immersive photo exhibition "Under Your Smell" created by the collaboration between Lausanne Art University (ECAL) in Switzerland and "JEAN PAUL GAULTIER", one of the world's leading art schools, will be held at GALLERY X BY PARCO!
In 2023, the only brand "JEAN PAUL GAULTIER", which was particularly exciting in the musical "Fashion Freque Show" and the movie "Jumbar Gorchie's Fashion crazy drama".
Under the guidance of Florence Tetier (brand creative director) and Nichola Coulon (photographer Novembre Magazine Consultant), students of the ECAL Department of Photography visually reinterpreted the "perfume" into a hymn for a new definition of gender diversity and beauty.
Starting with the Golchie headquarters in Paris (2022), the tour will finally be held in Shibuya PARCO for the first time in Asia after visiting Art Basel Miami Beach (2022) and Elise Museum in Switzerland (2023).
In holding this photo exhibition, up-and-coming design unit BIOTOPE is in charge of visual goods design teaser video. During the exhibition, at the venue, in addition to original Japanese goods using work data and special exhibition logos, this exhibition goods will be sold.

This project will be held as a project commemorating the 160th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Japan, and as one of Switzerland's "Vitality.Swiss" programs for the Expo in Osaka and Kansai.
This project is part of the Vitality.Swiss program, in celebration of 160 years of bilateral relations between Switzerland and Japan in 2024, and on the road to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
What is Under Your Smell?
Immersive exhibitions that explore the concept of beauty, personality, and gender.
Under Your Smell will exhibit works by photographers from Lausanne University of Fine Arts (ECAL / University of Art and Design Lausanne). Under the direction of Florence Tétier, creative director of Jampole Gorchier, and Nichola Coulomb, a photographer and consultant for Novembre Magazine, students challenged the visual interpretation of the perfume of Jampole Gorchier.
The perfume of Jampole Gorchie is the heart of this installation. In developing the theme of "perfume", young photographers created works reminiscent of perfume components and bottles using contrasting textures such as dry and moist textures, organic and hard textures.
In the exhibition space where the photos are placed, perfume is transformed into a stage background of a virtue story and a fantastic projection.
The huge fabric prints and oversized image cushions invite visitors to celebrate the diversity of gender and the new definition of expression over beauty and body. Please enjoy a fascinating and fascinating immersive experience.

To commemorate the holding of this project, a talk event will be held with TOMO KOIZUMI designer Tomotaka Koizumi and Caripso Mahyu, who teaches at ECAL Faculty of Photography! (MC: Yuri Abo)
■Tomotaka Koizumi (TOMO KOIZUMI Designer)
In 2011, while studying at Chiba University, he launched his own brand and worked on costume design for singers and advertisements mainly in Japan. In 2019, the first fashion show was held in New York. In the same year, he won the Mainichi Fashion Grand Prize Selection Committee Special Award and was selected for BoF500. In 2020, he was selected as one of the winners of the LVMH Prize. In 2021, at the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics, he was in charge of the costumes of MISIA, singing the national anthem. In the same year, he won the Mainichi Fashion Grand Prize.
In 2023, the collection was presented at Milan Fashion Week with the support of Italian brand Dolce & Gabbana.
While working as a dress designer, he also started producing contemporary art as an artist in 2022. He held his first solo exhibition "Tomo Koizumi" in December 2023, and continues to expand his range of activities.
■Calipso Mahiu Calypso Mahieu
A French photographer based in Switzerland. He is an artistic deputy at ECAL (Lausanne University of Fine Arts) and teaches the basics of applied photography in the bachelor's degree of photography.
Born and raised in Paris and South France, moved to Lausanne, Switzerland in 2012 to study at ECAL. While at school, he received guidance from Paolo Roversi, Juergen Teller, and Walter Pfeiffer.
While teaching, he has produced fashion editorials and campaigns for magazines and brands and has been active internationally. His work covers the relationship between the body, The Social Network, and post-humans. The photo is a very colorful tone inspired since the 1980s, and is created with humor with technopop aesthetics borrowed from Surrealism. Caripso Mahew likes to tell stories and anecdotes inspired by everyday life and the society surrounding her in a poetic, fictional and delicate manner through commissions and personal projects.

Born in Tokyo. Editor and producer. In addition to being involved in corporate advertising and creative production, he introduced gender after the launch of the magazine "IWAKAN Magazine". DJ： Hana Watanabe
A video artist/visual artist based in Tokyo. He is also a member of the sister audiovisual unit "tamanaramen" and is also active as a VJ and DJ.
