From March 14th (Tuesday), Shibuya PARCO B1F "GALLERY X BY PARCO", the long-awaited first solo exhibition by Rintaro Hashiguchi, a modern book artist who is attracting attention from the art world, will be held at Tokyo's first solo exhibition "Rintaro Hashiguchi's solo exhibition".
Rintaro Hashiguchi is impressive with the alphabet and dynamic style that gives an unforgettable and intense impact from the moment you see it. Influenced by post-war avant-garde art, he has been based in his local Kyushu since his twenties, and has continued his production using towels instead of writing brushes while listening to pan clocks.
The "Mystery Books" series, born from a huge number of artist notes, is free from the boundaries between letters and paintings, and the ancients with ambiguous boundaries with the wild, our modern people with complicated information, and even the distant future of humankind where the characters themselves disappear from humankind and the infinite world of creation are unfolding beyond the bounds of the universe.
The title of this exhibition "so many life, so many death" is a message from an artist who expresses life and death, which are the fate of living things, in a simple and sound spiritual phrase. At the same time, in an unprecedented virus, war, and chaotic era, it seems that the question "Where do we come from, where we go, and how we live?" I hope you will feel the Universe as a life form that transcends the individual written by Rintaro Hashiguchi. At the venue, we will exhibit and sell works drawn for this exhibition and pencil drawings. In addition, to commemorate the holding of this exhibition, we will release his first collection of works, "so many life, so many death", sell editions of Gicre Printing, and sell original goods.
In addition, from 18:00 to 21:00 on March 14th (Tuesday), writer Lintaro Hashiguchi will be present in the hall to hold a preview and reception party for related parties and the media. (The general public can also participate.)
