SHIBUKARU MATSURI BY PARCO
Parquet
Since 2011, the Shibukaru Festival (Festival), a cultural event with the aim of providing a place for young female creators to present their works of expression, was held based in Shibuya PARCO.
Over the past seven years, more than 1,000 female creators from all genres, including art, fashion, music, and performance, have participated in creating a variety of venues for expression.
This time, we want to create a place where Japanese female creators can play an active role not only in Shibuya but also on the world stage, in Hong Kong, an international city where diversity is mixed.
Seven female creators have already announced their participation from Japan, but this time they will join Manrika Ito, Akina Tokiyoshi, and Aries Sin/Don’t Cry in The Morning/Quist Tsang from Hong Kong.

Yurina Shiomi
(Artist)
Born in Nara Prefecture in 1987. Graduated from Kyoto University of Art and Design. Produced a fabric modeling work reminiscent of the human body of a form with colorful cloths. The pattern and the illusionary texture of the cloth, which are repeated in vivid colors, look like a shell without a physical sensation, stepping into the boundary between oneself and others, human psychology and life and death.

(Artist)
Born in Osaka in 1994. Graduated from the Department of Information Design, Kyoto University of Art and Design. Received the Grand Prix of the 16th Graphic "1_WALL" for his work "One All" made of a full-scale dog with a three-dimensional collage. He produces a work that outputs objects taken from various angles on a smartphone to copy paper and reproduces them as a full-scale three-dimensional collage. While accurately reproduced, forcibly making a plane photo three-dimensional creates a reproduction with unnatural distortion and a unique expression. He also produces works that reproduce the room he was boarding in a real space, as well as a book that has been dismantled and reconstructed into a plane. We try to express by repeating reproduction while moving back and forth between the plane and the three-dimensional object.
