This time, Parco Factory commemorates the 75th anniversary of the birth of Kazuo Umezu, a genius manga artist who creates a wide range of works, from fear to science fiction, gag, and historical drama, and releases a unique world view. Kazuo Umezu fear manga exhibition "Umekowa" "was held.
This exhibition provides horror entertainment to experience the charm of many works created by the god of fear manga "Kazuo Umezu", as well as manga artist Kazuo Umezu who has been active in the creation of the world's proud Japanese culture "Manga".
Contents of the exhibition
- ●The fear world
- From a number of works by Kazuo Umezu, a leading horror manga artist in Japan, we will develop a fear story corner that carefully selects masterpieces and introduces its overwhelming world view.
- ●Artwork Collection
- We will develop an art corner that displays digital reproductions of precious original drawings and Kazuo Umezu x contemporary ukiyo-e works in collaboration with Adachi Print Research Institute.
- ●Figuiar world
- In addition to numerous exhibitions of plums goods such as figure, we will develop a figure corner that specially displays Kazuo Umezu's private collection.
- ●Kazuo Umezu History
- We will develop a history corner that introduces the trajectory of Kazuo Umezu from childhood to manga artist debut and to the present, and a huge list of works.
- ●"UMEZZ HOUSE" exploration photo exhibition
- We will develop the Umezu House Corner, which introduces the inside of the mysterious buzzing Umezu House with infiltration report photos by the person's navigation.
- ●[Special Exhibition] Exhibition from the photo book "UMEZZ HOUSE" (Shogakukan) taken by Mika Ninagawa
- A special exhibition of selected photos will be exhibited from the photo book "UMEZZ HOUSE" (Shogakukan), which was completed in a powerful collaboration between photographer Mika Ninagawa, who is a big Umezu fan, and the world view of Umezu.
- ●Umezu goods sales corner
- We will develop a sales corner for plums goods with plums goods, comic books, and exhibition commemorative goods. Exhibition limited goods that can only be purchased here will also be sold.

Kazuo Umezu Profile
He showed extraordinary talent in painting since childhood and started drawing manga when he was in elementary school.
The first work is "Maho no Tsubo". "Mori no Brothers and Sisters" I drew when I was 14 years old was published in 1955 and made a professional debut, Umezu, who has been energetically drawing books for rental books.
Umezu engraved with trauma to boys and girls all over Japan with horror works such as "When the mouth touches the ears", "The Snake Girl", and "Hitokobu Girl", will later be called the "God of Horror Manga".
From 1967, he announced "Nekome Kozo". It was made on TV in 1976 as "Yokaiden / Nekome Kozo". In addition, since 1972, he has serialized "Drift Classroom".
Really depicting children living in a devastated future world, he received the Shogakukan Manga Award in 1975.
On the other hand, "Makoto-chan" was released in 1976. The surreal gag broke a big break, and "Gwashi" became a social phenomenon. Currently, the trademark of Umezu is a red-white border shirt and this "gwashi".
In addition, Umezu formed a band by himself, worked on lyrics, composition, vocal choreography, and released the LP "Dark Album" in 1975.
There are also many other manga works such as "Orochi", "baptism", "I am Shingo", "right hand of God's left demon", and "14 years old", but since it is surprisingly preceded the times, many people call Umezu "prophet".
Also, in 1994, he produced "Kazuo Umezu's ghost house" and "The Curse of the Azuchi family" at Korakuen Yuenchi. In 2005, with the 50th anniversary of his debut, the film has been visualized one after another. Currently, Umezu is absent from writing manga due to worsening tendon sheathitis, but she spends a busy day learning five languages, music activities, TV, movies and magazines.
