Just 40 years ago = 1966, the god of rock <Beetles> came to Japan, and the founder of the special effects <Ultraman> began the origin of the comedy boom <Shoten>. And from U.K., the same as the Beatles, this year's amazing work landed in Japan.
The name is "Thunderbird".
"Thunderbird" was first aired on NHK on April 10, 1966.
As soon as the show started, the story instantly captivated the hearts of Japanese children.
"Thunderbird" had elegance and sophisticated fashion and interiors, and the future of science and technology that could not be considered at that time.
From November this year, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of landing in Japan, the year "Thunderbird" landed in Japan <1966>, the future where "Thunderbird" plays an active role <2065>, and from now to the future We will hold an exhibition that invites you to the past and future connected by Thunderbird, and to the present time travel.
This is an exhibition where you can think about what Thunderbird has given us and what is the charm that has been passed down for 40 years, along with the background of the times. |

"Thunderbird", born in U.K. in 1965, is a special effects science fiction puppet play (= Super Marionation) set in the future earth in 2065. As soon as it was first broadcast in Japan on April 10, 1966, adults and children were absorbed in the world view, and they are still loved.
This time, in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the landing in Thunderbird Japan, we will also introduce its history and historical background in Japan. |
