Contents of the exhibition

Philix, who is familiar with gum design in Japan, has a history of more than 50 years since he came to Japan and has a history of over 90 years. The first character in the world to appear on television, and the first character in the world to cross the Atlantic was Philix. The name is derived from the Latin Felicias (= brings good luck). Also known as Tough Minded Cat. A cat that brings good luck with a strong heart, that is Philix. We will release the history and collection of the lucky cats that have descended to Japan at once.

What kind of cat is Philix?

Filix is a cat born in the United States in 1919 and saved the United States with laughter after World War I.
At that time, Kuroneko was said to be a symbol of ominousness, but the comics published by Philix became very popular and defeated the Kuroneko Jinx and became a national character in the United States.
As soon as the works were released in the theater, Philix's works became popular worldwide and Philix Goods was born and appeared in various scenes.

History Eyewitness Philix?

In 1927, when Lindbergh was able to make the world's first crossing of the Atlantic, the plane depicted Philix, a popular symbol of luck.
In 1928, the world's first television test broadcast was made in the United States, and Philix was the first to appear on the screen of NBC, the three major networks. It is said that the contrast between white and black is suitable for test patterns, and above all, because it was a national idol. It was Philix who first appeared as a manga character in the balloon parade in Thanksgiving Day by Macy's (a famous American department store). In the film, he co-starred with Charles Chaplin, was chosen as the mascot of Prince Edward's Polo team, and was also the official character of the New York Yankees.

Philix has come to Japan!

1960 Anime was broadcast on NHK.
After that, when "Soreike Filix" was broadcast on Fuji TV, it became very popular and it was a huge hit that always marked a high viewing rate of 2 digits. It was around this time that Marukawa gum appeared.
In the 1980s, it appeared at fashion shows in NY and Paris Collection, and commercials and character goods were a big break. After many times, Philix has always been with us.
Please come and see each Myfast Philix.
