Sounds pursuing avant-garde music, which was said to be state-of-the-art at the time, such as German rock and dub, have produced many followers, including Joy Division and Smith, and have been evaluated without fading even after more than 30 years. In addition, fashion brands such as Undercover, LAD MUSICIAN, and museum neu have been featured as collection themes, and they have gained a wide range of support in the visual aspect.
Dennis Morris, a legendary genius photographer who continued to shoot such activities of P.I.L. and produced both original P.I.L. logos and record jackets, was recognized by Bob Marley at a young age, and left anecdotes such as continuing to shoot from Sex Pistols band activities to private life.
This time, from the time of P.I.L. formation to the time of the second album "Meal Box" released in 1979, and the exhibition "A Bitta P.I.L." will be held at Parco Factory.
Bitta means "fragment, part, little" in slang of Jamaica. Please enjoy each of the bands whose metaphor "P.I.L." was so original that the metaphor was impossible, and the "shards" that cut out the most sharp and miracles of their activity period.
