12 years after the impact of Nightmare Bifore Christmas
― Beyond the "Night Mary" syndrome that swirled around the world, the latest stop motion animation "Corps" directed by Tim Burton, which was finally released this fall, finally released this fall.
Bride is now wrapped in excitement and gentle excitement that excites the world again.
Barton, who was completely fascinated by the "special art style" of stop motion animation in "Night Mary Bifore Christmas", fluttered imagination in all directions, and turned it into a movie over a period of 10 years. It's a world of art that transcends the boundaries of film, which takes 12 hours to shoot for 1 or 2 seconds.
"Coops Bride" was filmed at a 3-mile studio in the suburbs of London. The elaborate puppets, film actors, are breathed by up-and-coming characters and designers, and are carefully photographed by staff, creating a tasteful world that cannot be created by computers and CG.
In this exhibition, we will gather puppets (Victor/Corps Bride/Victoria/Scraps/Born Jungles, etc.), diorama, production sketches and storyboards that were actually used in this film, and invite you to another Burton fantasy that you can't meet in a movie. In addition, at the shop in the venue, "Coops"

Tim Burton and Stop Motion Anime |
|
Director Tim Burton, who produced "Nightmere Bifore Christmas" in 1993. (Note: The director of Nightmare is Henry Selrick, and Burton is only in charge of drafting and production.) The comical and synical stories of dark puppets that lead to his unbiased character have swept the stop motion and anime world. At the same time, he himself was fascinated by the world. This time, he himself "Coops"
I took on the challenge of the director of Bride because I like the "feel" of stop motion animation. "I actually touch and move the character. It's just wonderful to see their world alive. It's the same as making a live-action movie," Burton emphasizes.
He loved the style of stop motion animation in the production of Nightmare, and immediately after he was looking for a subject that could be made in the same way. At that time, an old folk tale heard from a friend was a story full of Burton flavor, consisting of dark humor and strange characters. "I felt that the story was perfect for drawing with stop motion animation. It's like casting. You also need a match makeup of the subject and technique so that you can match the actors and characters." Burton first made a character sketch and wounded coops
Based on the story of Bride and a man who unwillingly married her, the characters living in his head began to form one after another. The sketch was fleshed by character designer Carlos Grand Gel, and a puppet that evolved over "Night Mary" was produced and the set was designed. Even if you work hard for 12 hours, you can shoot at least 1 or 2 seconds of video, so the distant top shooting is the feature of stop motion animation. Burton evaluates that "it has a taste that cannot be produced with computers or CG."
And it is the powerful actors such as ally Johnny Dep and Helena Bonham Carter that bring life to the video. This is the fifth collaboration with Dep, who was in charge of the voice of the main character Victor, following "Charley and Chocolate Factory". As already proven, the collaboration of [Birton x Dep] is exactly the ultimate. As Burton says, "I can communicate almost unconsciously," the stimulating chemical reaction created by two people who trust and are intoxicated, is this work "Corps".
I sublimated Bride into a romantic fantasy.
