■ Bome is a modeling artist (prototype teacher) belonging to Kaiyodo Co., Ltd., who dominated the world with food toy figures such as "Choco Q (formerly Choco Egg)-Japanese Animal Collection". Born in Osaka in 1961, his real name is not disclosed. 'In the early 1980s, he joined Kaiyodo as a modeling staff member who turned from a model retailer to a garage kit (indie-style indie-flavored model) manufacturer, and was one of the pioneers who built the know-how of modeling from scratch without breaking the image of a two-dimensional painting (three-dimensional contradictory) in a time when a genre such as a beautiful girl figure did not yet existed. Although it is often attracting attention in the modeling aspect, it has outstanding technology in painting, and is also known for producing many painting techniques such as epoch-making.
■ The popularity and reputation of beautiful girl figures by Bome's hands spread far away overseas, and he is leading the industry as a top runner in beautiful girl figure modeling. Major works include "Demon Musume" and "Tora Musume," which are three-dimensional illustrations drawn by prominent writers, the "Beautiful Girl Warrior Sailor Moon" series, "Rei Ayanami" of "New Century Evangelion" and "Soryu Asuka Langley". In addition, erotic beautiful girl figures by Bome's own creative characters are also popular.
■ Through participation in Project Ko2 (Project Coco), a life-size beauty girl figure production project by Takashi Murakami, one of Japan's leading contemporary art artists (1995-1999), he himself realized a personal exhibition at Art Gallery Feature Ink in New York (1998), and made his debut in the contemporary art world. Realized a personal exhibition at Feature Ink (1998) and made his debut in the contemporary art world.
In addition, the exhibition "unart populaire (popular art)" sponsored by the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art (Paris/France).
(2001) Invited as an artist in parallel with Takashi Murakami, Bome's creative field continues to expand to the world-wide art scene.

■ While Bome has an unwavering world view that no one can imitate, he also has a very flexible aspect of constantly researching the trends of the world, such as the current market and customer needs, and subtle changes in the look of popular characters. Bome's talent, who acted as a curator at the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art and called "King of Otaku," can be said to be backed by such constant efforts.
■ Most of the figures made by Bome are limited to the day sold at the garage kit spot sale event, so there are few opportunities to show the finished products after that day. Also, due to its size (the general size of a beautiful girl figure in the hobby scene is about 20 cm, but the 50 cm class, which is more than twice as large, is the main stream of Bome modeling works), it is very difficult to transport and handle, so this exhibition is the first attempt in history.
Overview of Bome Activities
- ●1986
- 'I have been involved in modeling since the garage kit Genesis in the early 1980s, but this year, I made a so-called "major debut" by working on the prototype of the products that have acquired the official copyright of Kaiyodo, which is distributed to model retailers.
- ●The late 1980s-early 1990s
- While being an employee prototype teacher at Kaiyodo, he will set up a personal booth at the Wonder Festival (Japan's largest garage kit spot sale event held twice a year) and will be the main stage for presenting works. Since then, he has produced and presented large 1/4 scale (approximately 50cm)-class beauty girl figures called "Bomescale", and made most of the popular title works of the time, such as "Beauty Girl Warrior Sailor Moon", into figures.
- ●1995
- Released from Kaiyodo, the first personal prototype artist photo book "Complete Bome" and CD-ROM work collection "BOME EX". "Project Ko2 (Project Coco)" is a collaboration with contemporary artist Takashi Murakami.
- ●1998
- Inspired by collaboration with Takashi Murakami, he realized a personal exhibition at Art Gallery feature ink in New York / Soho (January 3-February 13), and made his debut in the contemporary art scene. Released the figure photo book "Japanese Figure Art Scene 1998" (Maysei Publishing), featuring Bome and many other famous prototype masters and their works.
- ●1999
- Released "Beautiful Girl Figure Super Collection BOME Works" (published by Media Works).
- ●2000
- Through the group exhibition "SuperFlat" produced by Takashi Murakami, he entered the MOCA Gallery of the Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles.
- ●2001
- Offer to exhibit works from the group exhibition "un art populaire" sponsored by the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art (Paris/France). He will be invited to one of the top museums in the world of contemporary art in parallel with Takashi Murakami.
- ●2002
- In the collaboration project between Epoch's C-Works Division and Kaiyodo, "Love Hina Skylab Project", a super-large = 1m size soft vinyl painted finished figure with the name "Challenge Bome, 1m Naruse River." He was in charge of the prototype production of the completed figure, and became a hot topic as a beautiful girl figure of the largest ever created by a prototype teacher. Released the first work of the Mushbom Collection, a PVC-painted finished product series that resizes large Bome figures presented at the Wonder Festival into a 20cm class.
- ●2008
- The 10th anniversary exhibition of the contemporary artist debut will be held at the Parco Factory in Shibuya Parco Part 1. In addition, as a product commemorating the 10th anniversary of the contemporary artist debut, a 1/4-bome scale (approximately 50 cm) finished PVC painted "Drawing Version by Yoshimi Onimusume" will be pre-released at the exhibition venue at the Parco Factory.
Pre-sales products limited to venues
Bome's "10th Anniversary of Artist Debut"
A dream for 10 years has come true! Super huge, Bome original size finished product
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the artist's debut of the prototype teacher Bome, one of the representative works of the 20-year Bome modeling activities, "Oniko / Akihiro Yoshimi's drawing version", has been commercialized in Bome's original size. Due to its size, it was said that "it is impossible to commercialize finished products made of PVC in the original size", and in a big size exceeding 50 cm, commonly called "Bomescale", the beauty of modeling is precisely reproduced until it reaches the details. We will deliver a miracle PVC painted finished figure that made impossible possible.
- ●Oni Musume Akihiro Yoshimi's drawing version
- This work is a figure work based on an original illustration drawn by Akihiro Yoshimi, a popular illustrator who is active in the original drawings of PC games and doujinshi. It was announced and released in August 1997 at the Wonder Festival (Japan's largest figure spot sale event with more than 30,000 visitors), where Bome is the main place for modeling activities. The unpainted unassembled resin cast kit, which was limitedly released at the same venue, was sold out immediately in a blink of an eye. Also, when Bome was invited to the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art in 2001, it was one of the five works exhibited.
01 The demon's face on the head is removable by a magnet, maintaining a beautiful outline as originally did without any insertion holes or joint pins.
02 Real braids and cotton cloth are used for braids, obi retaining, and loincloths, making it a miniature reproduction of traditional Japanese culture. Please pay attention to the texture unique to the real thing.
03 In the original, the upper body kimono and body part, which were integrated molded, were reproduced as "separate parts" (clothing can be removed). Parts are divided as much as possible, and soft materials are used for the clothes. The body part is completely new molded.
04 The sword carried on the right hand is made sharp with ABS parts. It prevents "heeling" due to aging.
- ●Luxurious Benefits 1
- Comes with a special video DVD "Mushboom" that contains Bome's long interview and comments from luxurious celebrities. Bome looks back on his 20-year modeling activities, and you can see the history of the garage kit beautiful girl figure and the process of evolution of figure modeling.
- ●Luxurious Benefits 2
- In addition, we focused on the package so that it can be displayed even if the figure is not displayed from the box. Popular comic "Yotsubato!" The familiar "Yotsuba Studio" is in charge of artwork. The brush letters prosper in the center of the box dyed in beautiful vermilion. In addition, in the pre-sale of this venue, it will be released as a luxurious limited specification only for the venue release, with a limited memorial sleeve box specification that will be collaborated by Bome x Parco. It is finished with a good "Japanese" taste like a luxury restaurant New Year's cuisine.

What is Kaiyodo with Bome?
As a pioneer of garage kits, a modeling group that continues to drastically change and revitalize the direction of the hobby (figure) industry in recent years, which is stagnant in old customs. The main staff is a person who actually performs modeling and prototype production, and a unique stance such as "special technicians group" and "industry stirring group" in which people who make things are in charge of planning and concept sales methods. Organization that takes.
With various up-and-coming projects and high modeling skills, he has presented many elaborate and expressive figures and novelty items. It is new to remember that he led the food boom of social phenomena, led by "Choco Q (former Choco-Egg)-Japanese Animal Collection". In addition, the evaluation is high not only in Japan but also overseas, and there are many fans and collectors in their unique modeling expressions that are realistic and dynamic.
