“If you climb that hill, you can see the sea.…」
Many people may remember that there was such a phrase in textbooks when I was a child.
What kind of scenery is waiting for you at the end of this road?
A road that stretches straight through the earth toward the horizon. The road that passes between the trees. A road that meanders through green grasslands and runs on steep rocks along cliffs. It may take you to a more beautiful place...
Photographer Bernhard M. Mr. Schmid continues to photograph landscapes of various paths in the world.
At Logos Gallery, Bernhard M., a pioneer in landscape photography on the road. We will hold the first photo exhibition in Japan to introduce the "Beautiful Ways of the World" that Mr. Schmid has been photographing.
Many works should convey the photographer's desire to share a positive idea that "If you wish, there will always be a new start." |

I like the gentle changes in the scenery that I see while driving a car.
It is this path that will lead me to my destination,
I know you will eventually get me back to my starting point.
Because we know the road is going on.
You can enjoy new landscapes and adventures. |

| ――― From the "Continuation of the Road" |
 |
In my dream, there is always an open path.
The moment I take a picture, I'm rather than the road itself.
New places, landscapes, urban landscapes, people and friends you will meet.
I feel the signs of an unknown adventure there. |

――― From the road.

Writer profile
Bernhard M. Schmid (Bernhard M. Schmid)
Born in Germany in 1955.
He majored in physics at Stuttgart University and graduated in 1982.
In 1982, he first came to Japan when he was a university student and stayed for one year, and was involved in a research project in physics. As you develop a career in the high-tech field, you realize that you have other real interests.
Returned to Japan in 1987. Gradually, attention begins to shift to photography.
Currently, he is a professional photographer based in Japan and Germany. Popular works have been compiled in many photo books and are used in corporate calendars and advertisements.
There are many photo books such as "Road no muko" and "Road continuation".
For Bernhard Schmid, the joy of seeing good works is the most important thing for photography.
Bernhard Schmid has always had a strong interest in image since childhood. When I was a high school student, I was passionate about traveling, and when I was a college student, I bought my first SLR camera. As I took a lot of photos, I was worried that the photos had messaging properties and that graphic elements such as compositions were strong, rather than recording travel.
Since he became independent as a photographer, his interest has widened not only in landscapes and architecture, but also in lifestyle, portrait, nude, photojournalism, monochrome, etc. |
