Koran in the morning flowing from the mosque. A beautiful woman with eyes wearing a black chaddle on the road. The men with dark beards drinking tea beards beside the carpet spread out in the hustle and bustle bazaar. Or a country that enemies the world with dangerous weapons and attitudes.
・・They may be the image of a distant Iranian country that we have.
In fact, there is an Iran that we don't know, different from that kind of traditional image. Iran's traditional culture, which has a history of 2,500 years, has continued to spread its culture around the world, including poetry, music, art, and crafts. The artistic and cultural level of Iran, such as the ruins of Persia and carpets, must be said. And not to mention films that have been highly acclaimed internationally in recent years, modern Iran is full of young creativity. With Khomeini's policy of rejecting Western culture since the Islamic Revolution, many young people are building their own Iranian culture that is unique to the world.
Artists who freely think and create works in Iran. This time, at Logos Gallery, we will introduce the new charms of Iran beyond our imagination through their unique and fascinating works.

This exhibition focuses on paintings by Iranian artists who produce picture books and works by Iranian potters who are making them in Japan, and introduces the young creativity of modern Iran. At the venue, in addition to exhibiting and selling original and ceramic works, we will also sell Iranian picture books with words spelled in Persian, where the characters themselves are beautiful. In addition, we sell miscellaneous goods with excellent design and original miscellaneous goods that are used daily in Iran.
Iranian picture books that are rhythmic and sometimes very philosophical

Picture books express and convey stories with pictures and words, but the existence of letters is also an important element for picture books. This is because one page of the picture book is completed for the first time by arranging characters in the picture.
Picture books in Iran are told in Persian, the official language of the region. Persia letters have its own beauty as a graphic, and Iranian picture books, where they blend into the picture, simply entertain the eyes of what you see.
Also, stories born from a culture that respects poetry and literature are rhythmic and sometimes contain very philosophical content.
Illustrators and painters who have the ability to often win at international competitions paint such stories, making them a picture book with a mysterious depth.

Morteza, a young illustrator of such high quality Iranian picture book world Zahedi) Here are some pictures and picture books by Marjan Vafaeian.
Mortether Zahedi is 28 years old. Although young, he is a popular illustrator who works on more than 15 picture books in Iran. In addition, his ability has been recognized internationally, such as winning three times at the Bologna International Picture Book Original Painting Exhibition, which is said to be the gateway to new picture book writers. In 2006, his representative work, "Where do you go?" And "Look, look, this way" has been published in Japanese by Bruce Interactions. Recognition in Japan is also increasing. He is especially good at drawing animals and insects, and from his work, you can feel a humorous look to small beings.
Marjan Wefayan is also 28 years old. Although there are not many picture books published, in recent years French contest figures He has been selected for the futur and the Noma International Picture Book Original Painting Competition, and has rapidly gained his ability as an illustrator of picture books. The painting, composed of lines that are freely drawn regardless of existing concepts, comfortably stimulates the imagination of what you see, and has gained core fans in the solo exhibition in Japan I have performed so far.

This time, we selected only those that can be fully enjoyed as a single picture, focusing on the works that were born during the production of picture books. You can't miss the poetic title that Mortether puts. You will be able to feel a new story from each of them. This is the first exhibition in Japan, so please look forward to it.
Young Iranian potters produced in Japan

Taymour Sabu Li is 31 years old. In 2004, he became a research student at the Department of Ceramics at Tokyo University of the Arts, and is currently enrolled in the Master's Program in Ceramics at Tokyo Univ. of the Arts. He said of the charm of pottery, "The appearance of a potter's hand making pottery on a potter's wheel tells us that the process of making it has great value." It's like a kind of magic," he said. His work has a unique and mysterious charm, not a craft unique to Iran or a traditional Japanese ceramic.
