Kaoru Oka began to make costumes and jewelry because he felt inadequate for existing accessories and designed and produced original jewelry. I was originally from an art university and worked as a graphic artist, but I came to receive orders from fashion officials who happened to see the work, so I started producing it in earnest. In 1996, he was allowed to exhibit as a Japanese in the Premiere Class and Accessories Division in Paris. Since then, we have been exhibiting every year until this year. The Premiere Class is an exhibition of fashion jewelry and fashion goods held during the Paris Collection. At the time of exhibition, the originality and quality of the work were high, and there were strict judging, and it is said to be the gateway to artists around the world. There are many applicants from Japan every year, but she is the only one who has been allowed to exhibit for the past 10 years. Her costumes and jewelry, such as chokers and necklaces, have a bold and innovative sense of combination of design forms, colors and materials, but it has been well-established that their goodness can only be demonstrated by wearing them. This is because the fit and three-dimensional feeling give confidence and courage to the women they have acquired, and bring out new fascination.
