When the noiseed analog sound, the flashing dull light, and the mouth of Muttoni himself begins, a faint expression appears on the faces of the dolls, and the drama develops there. The far future space station, the swimming astronauts, the men and women standing in the corner of a glamorous city, the stage of a lively band playing, the lonely diva, the angels celebrating the magnificent church, all of which are nostalgic and dreamy small universes.
Masahiko Muto, the Mutoni, is the creator of dolls and machine movements, story writers, performer and art director who moves dolls and sometimes plays themselves at the mouth. This unique and original world itself is "Muttoni". It is a mysterious world that only viewers can share and sympathize with, and only those who experience it can talk about, but I have gradually increased the number of fans by telling me. The viewer projects his figure on the doll, tears at some time, and uplifts at some times, and healed by the dolls.
He is the only one who can produce and perform everything on his own, and there are not 10 productions per year. The number of people who can watch at once is limited. However, we are steadily increasing the number of works and fans. At this summer's exhibition at the Parco Museum, we will reorganize about 50 new and old works and showcase the new world of Muttoni.
