Color and form born from music

Logos Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Miwa Oshikane, an illustrator with rich color expression, "Viva La Vida - Trajectory from 0".
Miwa Oshikane is active in a wide range of media, including book covers, CD jackets, DMs hair, and Starbucks coffee tumbler designs. The colors and designs of her illustrations are always born from music.
This time, we will exhibit artwork inspired by the album "Viva La Vida Beautiful Life" with respect to the British rock band "COLDPLAY", which is the origin of her creation.
At the venue, we will also sell mugs limited to this exhibition, as well as original goods that are perfect as gifts such as greeting cards.

Message from Miwa Oshikane

I happened to see Coldplay on TV 9 years ago. I decided my life in that instant. It was a coincidence miracle.
When I was studying sociology, I loved UK music and listened to a lot of CDs and played the color of the song while expressing the sound in color.
At that time, I encountered COLDPLAY music, and although the environment and culture were born are different, the power to resonate so much in my heart is amazing! I can't express what I felt in music, but I want to express it in color and shape! I thought so strongly.
The world of COLDPLAY is pure, delicate, quiet and refined, and somewhat warm.
I have come to this point with the goal of COLDPLAY world as much as possible to get closer to the world by drawing pictures.
When I started from 0, when I couldn't see the future and couldn't help anything, I listened to their songs and returned to the starting point of drawing my own picture. Also, how courageous it was to have the illustrations sent by e-mail posted on the site and receive encouragement emails from the manager?
I've been working on illustrations for about 9 years. I'm spending a busy day drawing my favorite illustrations every day.
Luckily, when they came to Japan, I was able to have an exhibition inspired by the songs of COLDPLAY, which I wanted to do since the beginning of drawing illustrations.
Indeed, the wish will come true. It is a trajectory from 0 of illustrator Miwa Oshikane.
