We will hold a popular project and movie poster exhibition for the first time in three years.
In the past several events, all have been well received and are full of appearances. This time, it is a basic route from the first time, and it is a lineup that returns to the charm of French original posters, which are most demanded and popular.
This is an impressive assortment that can satisfy a wide range of people, from collectors to beginners, including Nouvelle Berg in the 1960s, and we will introduce episodes related to each with commentary.
In addition, the press kit at the time sold at the same time was very interesting in terms of design, and since it was rare to see it because it was originally a few, it is also valuable as a material.
We will exhibit and sell about 200 original posters, mainly French movie posters from the 1960s and 1980s. In addition, about 30 press kits such as press books and steel sets that cannot be missed by movie fans, are on display and sold. At the same time, we will also exhibit special costumes including antiques this time. |

| The mission and evaluation of movie posters as art at the time of screening |
 |
| The mission of movie posters is to condense the contents of the movie in a limited space, to stimulate the public interest, and to attract the movie theater. However, with the development of mass media, when the mass mobilization power of posters decreased, the art and rarity of the poster itself came to be greatly appreciated. And not only is it an object of distraction of a few people driven by nostalgia, but it also attracts the attention of many people and establishes a single marquette as a collector's item. |
 |
| The Attractiveness of Film Posters: Rarity and Art |
 |
| Movie posters are one of the advertising tools in the first place, and it was customary that they would be destroyed or forced to destroy after the screening. Since only the number of posters to be attached to movie theaters is made, the number of posters that exist is never large. And there is no data on them. There are also reasons why the story about movie posters is endless, such as those that are said to be phantom posters, those that have only one point in the world, and there are still new discoveries, so it can be said that they have nurtured enthusiastic collectors. In addition, the appeal of movie posters is that you can enjoy not only collecting by collectors but also purely as art and interiors. |

| The mission and evaluation of movie posters as art at the time of screening |
 |
The “original” of this exhibition means “the first edition printed at the time of the first screening” and does not cover screenings in other countries or revival screenings. In addition, in the case of movie posters, most of them were actually used, and preservation management is not thoroughly implemented, so the condition is varied, which is reflected in the price.
You will be able to see nostalgic movies, posters of movies with memories and memories at the Logos Gallery. And I think you will be able to make a new discovery here again. |

| What is an original movie poster? |
 |
| In Japan, the movie poster market is not as mature as in Europe and the United States, so basic terms and appraisals for dealing with movie posters are ambiguous, but overseas experts and enthusiasts generally use the following method of classification of posters: |
 |
1. Original
It refers to only the first poster produced when the movie was first released in each country.
2. Reprint
A poster produced at the time of the revival screening, whose design is basically the same as the original. These are completely indistinguishable from the original, and there are various types, ranging from those that require considerable appraisal eyes, to those that are easy to see, such as reducing the number of colors.
3. Rishw, or reedition
A poster produced at the time of the revival screening and has been redesigned. The reason for this is that the original version has been lost, or that it can be replaced with one that meets the needs of the era to attract new audiences.
4. Reproduction
It was reproduced for various reasons (mostly for sale) regardless of the screening of the movie.
Most of the original posters are driving the movie poster market, which is so exciting that the overheating is reported in U.S. economic magazines. In general, the original has the atmosphere of the era when the movie was most made, and the poster itself is made with passion. Furthermore, due to its rarity, the collector's boulders are only increasing. The evaluation of old posters varies not only with rarity, but also depending on the condition.
All posters of this exhibition are original unless otherwise stated. |
